Hacking Immigration Law, LLC - Immigration Lawyers specializes in a range of U.S. immigration legal services, with a particular focus on addressing delays and challenges within the immigration system. Their expertise covers key areas of immigration law, notably those involving complex administrative issues.
- Writ of Mandamus (WOM) Lawsuits: A core service, filing federal lawsuits to compel USCIS or other government agencies to make a decision on a stalled immigration application that has been pending for an unreasonable amount of time. This is a crucial tool for clients experiencing severe delays.
- Family-Based Immigration: Assisting U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents in sponsoring eligible family members (spouses, children, parents, siblings) for immigration to the United States. This includes handling I-130 petitions, I-485 adjustment of status applications, and consular processing.
- Green Card Applications: Guiding eligible individuals through the process of obtaining lawful permanent residency, whether through family sponsorship or other pathways.
- Consular Processing Issues: Providing legal support for clients whose cases are being processed through U.S. consulates abroad, including addressing delays or complications in the interview scheduling and visa issuance process.
- Addressing USCIS Delays: Strategizing and taking legal action to resolve unreasonable processing times for various immigration petitions and applications.
- Citizenship and Naturalization: Assisting eligible permanent residents with the application process for U.S. citizenship.
- Appeals and Motions to Reopen/Reconsider: Representing clients in appeals of denied applications or petitions, or filing motions to reopen or reconsider previous decisions.
- Strategic Immigration Consultations: Offering detailed consultations to assess individual immigration situations, identify potential legal avenues, and develop strategies, particularly for stalled cases.
Hacking Immigration Law, LLC distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that underscore their proactive and client-centered approach to complex immigration challenges.
- Expertise in Addressing USCIS Delays: A primary highlight is their specialized knowledge and successful track record in resolving stalled immigration cases, particularly through the filing of Writ of Mandamus (WOM) lawsuits. This is a niche area where their expertise is highly valued, as demonstrated by the client who saw movement on their case within two weeks after filing a WOM.
- Proactive Legal Strategy: The firm is known for its willingness to "show your teeth" to USCIS, meaning they are not afraid to pursue federal litigation when administrative remedies fail to yield results, compelling agencies to act.
- Honest and Client-Focused Advice: Clients appreciate the honesty and straightforwardness of attorneys like Jim. As one review notes, Jim personally called to discuss the potential outcomes of further legal action, even if it meant advising against a new lawsuit if the timing wasn't right, demonstrating a genuine care for the client's best interests over immediate financial gain.
- Strong Communication and Support: While one review noted an issue with taking on a specific case, the positive testimonial highlights clear communication and appreciation for the support provided throughout a lengthy and complex immigration process.
- Experience with Consular Processing: They have experience navigating the complexities of consular processing, including dealing with backlogs and interview scheduling at U.S. Consulates abroad.
- Educational Content: The firm produces valuable educational content, such as Jim's YouTube videos, which help inform potential clients about their rights and legal options in the immigration process. This proactive sharing of knowledge builds trust and demonstrates expertise.
It's important to acknowledge that while there's a strong positive review highlighting the firm's success with a WOM lawsuit and client care, another review indicates that the firm may not take on every case, suggesting they are selective based on the strength of the case or their strategic focus. This selectivity can be a feature in itself, as it implies they only commit to cases they believe they can genuinely help.
While Hacking Immigration Law, LLC - Immigration Lawyers does not explicitly advertise traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the commercial sense (such as discounted fees), they provide significant value-added services and operational approaches that benefit their clients, especially those facing complex and delayed immigration issues.
- Strategic Consultations: The firm offers detailed consultations where attorneys like Jim personally engage with potential clients to understand their unique situation and provide honest assessments, even if it means advising against immediate legal action, as highlighted in one review. This level of personalized, candid advice at the initial stage is a valuable offering.
- Focus on High-Impact Litigation (Writ of Mandamus): Their specialization in and willingness to pursue Writ of Mandamus lawsuits against government agencies (like USCIS) for unreasonable delays can be considered a "specialized offering" that few other firms actively promote. This aggressive approach is a direct benefit to clients whose cases are stalled.
- Educational Content: The firm produces and distributes valuable educational content, such as Jim's YouTube videos, which serve as a free resource for individuals trying to understand their immigration rights and options. This commitment to public education enhances transparency and empowers potential clients with knowledge.

I can’t thank Jim and everybody at Hacking Immigration Law enough for helping me with my wife’s immigration process. I originally filed myself and submitted everything USCIS requested but our case stalled for 2 years and a couple months until I consulted with hacking immigration and had a good case for a Writ of Mandamus. We filed the lawsuit and within 2 weeks we finally got the email that our case has been moved to the National Visa Center. Unfortunately we did have to wait another 8 months for our interview to be scheduled by the Consulate in Ankara because apparently they had a back log from covid… still. Anyway before we got the interview, I consulted with hacking immigration again after 6 months of waiting for our interview. Jim called me personally to hear me out and tell me what the outcome would be if we tried to file another lawsuit so I really appreciated his honesty because he showed he really cares about his clients. Then 2 months later my wife and I get her Interview date and now she is finally home here with me! Thank you Jim and everybody at Hacking Immigration Law!
The first time I saw one of the Jim's videos on youtube about "showing your theet" to USCIS, I was very impressed and I though he could help me with one issue I had, I contacted them explainned my situation, next thing they called me telling me that they could not take my case, so that makes me think that all he said is a lie. fortunattely, I found a good inmigration lawyer in NY that very professionally helped me succesfully from the beginning to the end.
I would give 10 stars if I could. I can’t thank Jim Hacking and his team enough! Especially Josefina who actively helped me during my case. I had a case stuck over 7 years and after hiring them, it got resolved. Thank you for your efficient service. Forever grateful!
Five stars are simply not enough for Jim, my attorney Casey, and my paralegal Yuliana at Hacking Immigration Law. After having a less-than-ideal experience with a previous immigration lawyer, I received an RFE (Request for Evidence) from USCIS, which left me feeling uncertain and stressed about my case. That's when I decided to switch to Hacking Immigration Law, and it was the best decision I could have made. The team immediately jumped into action. Their professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail were incredible. In less than 72 hours after submitting my RFE response, both my I-130 and I-485 were approved, and I am now a lawful permanent resident of the United States. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you want a team that truly cares about your case and delivers results, look no further than Hacking Immigration Law. Thank you again, Jim, Casey, and Yuliana, for helping me achieve this dream!
Amazing service. If you have a well documented process and you follow all the steps timely, you can’t fail. I was nervous about a lawsuit but it worked wonderful! Say hello to the new PERMANENT resident of US. Incredible! Do not be afraid, HIL really FIGHT for immigrants all the time!
