I'm not sure if she had a bad day but that's not a way to speak to someone. Last year I made an appointment because my at the time boyfriend needed to know if he could fix his legal status without marriage since he came to the US with a work visa. I told her for the moment I couldn't marry him and the reason why. She said once we were ready to call back. A year later we finally fixed the legal issue that was holding back our marriage. I called again they said I had to pay for consultation again. I understood because time had passed. Both times I told them I was not in the state of Texas. (Last year I was living in Georgia now I live in Alabama). Now Mrs.Zuniga says she doesn't think I want her services. I tried explaining again why we took so long to hire her and that we had explained in our last consultation. She then said she wasn't "comfortable" taking a case from someone in a different state. That we would never meet. To get another lawyer. I did get upset and asked if you knew we were in a different state and I was clear of doing everyhing over the phone, plus me being in a differente states why did you accept my consultation a second time. Plus made me pay twice. She said "Ill give you your money back, don't call again" and hung up. I did have to call again to know how she would refund. Her secretary was fast to help me. I guess you have to get her in a good mood for her to want to help you. She allegedly doesn't help people from different states but when you book and clearly say you are from a different state she will take your money. Im only getting refunded this consultation but what about the first one when I called and said I lived in Georgia at the time. I completely understand lawyer that do not want to help out of state people but if that's the case you shouldn't even take a consultation in the first place. That's a scam because you're taking someones money already knowing you will not help them because "you're not comfortable with out of state clients". Now her answer to this post is she allegedly "refused me as a client" when in no moment of our conversation did she state that. Only thing she excused was her childish anger because I did hire her last year and me being in a different state. Every case is different and at the moment there was no possible way to hire her if she could help me last year but she could this year. And to her answer of the refund.... Like I said prior I got a refund for this consultation because I spoke up about it. She was about to hang up talking over and over me. So I stopped her before and asked her why they make another consultation and take my money. At th EOD she is rude when she wants to be thinking she can just dump her clients because she is not in the mude.
I cannot explain how grateful I am I hired Ms. Zuniga to handle my case. I was in a detention during Covid and everything seem impossible during those times. I had previously hired a lawyer who had given up on before my third court hearing. For those who don’t know, when you go to a detention at the border and you are in removal procedures, you go before the judge 3 times to plead your case and that all you get to make your case. When I hired Ms. Zuniga I was borderline about to be deported even though I had everything for me to be able to stay here. I was married to a US citizen, I was in college, I speak English fluently and I paid taxes. The lawyer who I initially spent my money on had given up on me on the second court hearing, total disappointment, but I can definitely say Ma Zuniga fought for me not only because she knew I deserved to be here but because she really does know immigration law like the back of her hand. I am more than blessed to have found her, and I living and thriving here in the US because of her! On the road to US citizenship. God bless her.
My family n I are very greatful for how Bertha took my case and helped me in my toughest moments, Bertha made the impossible happen. Best immigration lawyer in all south Texas.
My brothers case was one of those that no other immigration lawyer was willing to take. Possession of controlled substance felony charge. I spent over $1,000 in consultations with other lawyers, just to get rejected. My brother heard about Ms. Zuniga from another detainee and asked me to contact her immediately. She was very straight forward and gave me instructions on what to do first in order to take my brothers case. I love how she doesnt give you the run arounds and her honesty. She's a very smart woman and knows her job very well. She is very professional, she would answer my text messages/e-mail during her off time. When she took my brothers case, she told me it was not going to be easy and it will take time. It took 4 months from the day that i hired her so my brother could be released. He is now home with us and was able to keep his Permanent resident card. Dont hesitate to hire Ms. Zuniga, she will do everything in her power to solve your immigration case. Be prepared to do/gather anything she asks, she works fast and does not waste time. Ms. Zuniga, Thank you for your hard work. I am very grateful with you, and I thank God we found you. -Glenda Medrano
This lady is something else she said she would take my husbands case she received a payment then I emailed her with questions and concerns from my husband promised to get back with me she never did she then called my husbands friend to deny case and return the payment because she said I was asking to many questions or concerns it is your job to be professional and let me know and if you get paid and agree to take the case you should not complain about any questions or concerns and on top of that you talked about a previous immigration lawyer he had how horrible she was but you did the same just talk made yourself look good and then blamed me for no reason bad for business!!
