I am compelled to share my experience with Michael Elliot regarding his handling of a legal matter that raises serious concerns about adherence to professional and ethical standards. As a pro se litigant, I reached out to Mr. Elliot for a response regarding a case, but my efforts have been met with silence. This lack of communication is troubling, especially since all attorneys practicing in North Carolina are required to uphold the state's legal and ethical standards. Ignoring a pro se litigant not only reflects poorly on professional integrity but may also constitute a violation of North Carolina law, particularly if it pertains to procedural fairness or the attorney's obligations to the court and opposing parties. Regardless of one's representation status, every individual has a right to fair treatment under the law. Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Elliot has left me feeling as though he believes he is above the law—an attitude that appears to extend to his clients as well. What’s most surprising is that I often find myself better informed about the relevant laws than Mr. Elliot appears to be. This is deeply concerning for someone entrusted with navigating the legal system on behalf of others. It raises serious questions about his commitment to upholding the principles of justice and professionalism. It is disheartening to see a member of the legal profession fail to meet these basic expectations. I urge Mr. Elliot to address these concerns promptly and to reconsider his approach to ensure he acts within the boundaries of the law. For those considering working with him, I recommend careful consideration based on my experience.
I cannot speak highly enough of EMP Law Firm. When no one else was willing to take my case, they stepped in without hesitation. Their dedication and expertise ultimately led to a positive resolution that I’m extremely grateful for. If you’re looking for a law firm that will truly fight for you, EMP Law Firm is the one to call.
While the need to work with Michael Elliott was unfortunate, I couldn't be happier with the service provided to resolve my issues. Michael and Sharon communicated well, were very accessible, provided assistance as promised, and were able to help me achieve the desired result. I would not hesitate recommending Michael and, should I need legal services again, EMP Law will be the first call.
Michael Elliot is fantastic. If you’re considering any other law group, you’d be doing yourself a disservice. He and Sharon were incredibly helpful in my very stressful situation. It may take some time but have confidence in EMP law. They won’t let you down!
