Choosing Irene to help me through my divorce was the best decision I could have made. She was able to help guide me through a difficult process, making it as simple as possible. When it came to negotiating a settlement, she helped by producing innovative ideas to solve complex problems. She helped me understand what details were important to me and I should push for, and just as importantly when I was being unreasonable and should compromise. In the end we ended with a fair settlement, and the best possible plan for my daughter. Divorce is difficult, but anyone in that situation would benefit from reaching out to Irene.

I selected Irene King as my first divorce attorney because I truly wanted to work on an amicable resolution to the dissolution of my marriage. It was very complicated. The emotions were high, and I did not know how to handle the situation. Irene was calm and quietly outlined the process for me and gave me the the knowledge I needed to navigate this legal matter. Despite initially agreeing to the collaborative process, my former spouse initiated litigation. I completely respected Irene for standing firm to her boundaries by helping me to retain a new litigator, who handled the conclusion of my case in a successful manner. Even though Irene did not complete my family law matter, she got me started and helped me set the tone that included respect, generosity, and care for my children. I cannot provide any more of a positive recommendation for Irene and her work.

Everything about working with Irene King was better than I hoped. Getting divorced is a very hard thing to do, made even more difficult by the back and forth with the attorneys. Negotiating a fair settlement, kids, owning a business all made the process more complicated. Irene was thorough, extremely well versed in the law, professional and a shrewd advocate. She navigated me toward a very good outcome, kept me focused and handled my Type A personality extremely well. I never want to call Irene for help again :) - but if you are going through a divorce she is the best attorney you could retain.

Divorce is never easy and for most it’s uncharted territory. I expected chaos and court dates, but my experience working with Irene King showed me there was a better way, a less stressful way, and a more fair and amicable way to untangle and dissolve the marriage contract. With Irene’s guidance and expertise, we successfully collaborated with my ex’s attorney and came to a speedy agreement that worked out for everyone. Irene was the voice of reason when emotions would run high, and helped both parties see the pragmatic, fair alternatives that should be considered and pursued. I appreciate Irene King and her caring, compassionate and knowledgeable approach to what can be a complicated process, and her ability to help everyone focus on the dissolution and not the emotion.

Family law is a tricky thing to review, isn't it? It typically means that you need some help with a very challenging situation, and that's not something we usually want to announce publicly to the world. When I found out I was getting divorced, I didn't even know where to start. I called the only close friend I had at the time who had gone through a divorce and simply asked, "what's the one thing I need to know?" He said, go collaborative and call Irene. He did the alternative first (traditional legal representation) and racked up $100k in fees in a matter of months between him and his ex, and they were even more at odds with each other than when they started. At that point, they knew something had to change for both their mental health and the health of their child. It was then they found collaborative family law, and he was referred to Irene. If I had to guess, most of Irene's business comes through referral because she is without question an incredible person who is very, very good at what she does. I learned later that her background is in the big traditional law practices. She worked alongside the sharks for years before branching out into her own practice that put her clients first--not the billing. And I can tell you from personal experience, having fully executed my own divorce with Irene's caring support, she puts her clients first. She speaks to you in a language you understand, she listens to what you want, and she advocates for you. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. I know it sounds strange to say it, but she made the divorce process as good as it possibly could be. Her pricing was incredibly fair, and she didn't nickel and dime me for anything. I hope I don't ever have to use her again (no offense, Irene!), but I would in a heartbeat, and I would passionately recommend her to anyone. I'm grateful for how easy she made the experience for my family and me.
