While the provided reviews do not explicitly list all services, the nature of the feedback strongly suggests that the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC focuses heavily on family law matters. This is a common and critical area of legal practice that impacts many Texans. Based on the client experiences, we can infer their primary service offerings to include:

  • Family Law Matters: The context of the "legal matter" and the significant financial commitment described in one review strongly point to complex, ongoing family law cases. Family law generally encompasses a wide range of services, such as:
    • Divorce and Separation: Assisting clients through the dissolution of marriage, including contested and uncontested divorces.
    • Child Custody and Visitation: Representing parents in disputes over conservatorship, possession, and access to children, aiming for arrangements that are in the best interest of the child.
    • Child Support: Establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support orders.
    • Spousal Maintenance (Alimony): Addressing requests for financial support from one spouse to another after divorce.
    • Property Division: Guiding clients through the complex process of dividing community property and debts acquired during marriage.
    • Mediation: As indicated by the mention of "failed 1/2 day of mediation," the firm likely engages in and prepares for mediation as a common method for resolving family law disputes outside of court.

Given the nature of family law cases, which often involve significant financial and emotional investments, transparency in billing and consistent communication are paramount. While the firm aims to provide top-notch service and attention, as suggested by one review, the experience of others highlights the importance of thorough discussion regarding billing practices and expectations for case progression in family law matters.

When considering the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC, Texans should be aware of various features and highlights based on the provided client feedback. These points offer different perspectives on the firm's operations and client interactions:

  • Professionalism and Attention to Detail (Positive Highlight): One client praises Bryan Fagan and his team for their "professionalism and attention to detail," stating that these qualities "made all the difference" in their case. This suggests that for some clients, the firm demonstrates a high standard of legal practice and meticulous handling of case specifics.
  • Client-Centric Approach (Positive Highlight): The positive review notes that the firm "took the time to understand my concerns" and worked "tirelessly on my behalf," making the client feel "valued and supported every step of the way." This indicates a firm that, for some, prioritizes client understanding and provides a supportive environment through difficult legal matters.
  • Concerns Regarding Billing and Value (Negative Highlight): A significant point of concern raised in another review revolves around billing practices and perceived value. The client reports that a substantial sum of money was spent rapidly with little to show for it beyond "basic legal paperwork" and "one failed 1/2 day of mediation." This perspective suggests a concern about the cost-effectiveness of the legal services provided and the firm's billing practices, particularly with regard to hourly rates and the allocation of billable hours.
  • Communication and Transparency (Mixed Review): While the positive review highlights feeling "informed" and "supported," the negative review implies a lack of transparency or satisfactory progress despite significant expenditure. The claim of continued billing even after notice to cease work also raises serious questions about communication and ethical billing practices from this client's perspective.
  • Prey vs. Client Perception (Negative Highlight): The phrase "lions waiting to pounce on their prey" and the accusation of prioritizing "billable hours and doing as little as possible for maximizing their profit" represent a highly critical perception of the firm's motivations and operational philosophy from one client's viewpoint.
  • Bank Account Access Concerns (Negative Highlight): The strong recommendation "NOT recommend signing anything that allows them access to your bank account" and the action of closing a bank account to prevent "further hemorrhaging of money" point to severe trust issues regarding financial management and billing transparency.

Prospective clients should weigh these varied experiences carefully and consider discussing billing structures, expected timelines, and communication protocols thoroughly during initial consultations.

For Texans considering the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC, it is highly advisable to inquire about their consultation policy. During such a consultation, it would be prudent to ask specific questions about the firm's fee structure, including hourly rates, retainers, and how billing is managed. Given the feedback concerning financial aspects, clarity on these points upfront is paramount. Inquiring about payment plans, contingency fee options (if applicable to the specific case type), and the expected timeline for a case's progression can help manage expectations. ZERO STARS. So many reviewers are posting the same story, and we have basically the same highly negative experience with them as well. Over approximately the first 6 months of 2024, they billed us and we paid close to an estimated $25,000 (we are a middle-class family that works hard for our money and it took years and years to be able to save up $25,000) and they were able to burn thru the $25k in 6 months and all we have to show for it was basic legal paperwork that was filed and one failed 1/2 day of mediation. I am not exaggerating. It was RIDICULOUS. They are lions waiting to pounce on their prey. From my perspective, for them, the work they do is about billable hours and doing as little as possible for maximizing their profit. If after reading all the negative reviews you still decide to use this attorney, based on our experience with them I WOULD NOT recommend signing anything that allows them access to your bank account. Your money will be spent and spent rapidly, and I would bet dollars to donuts when it's all said and done you won't have much to show for it either. One other note, we had to close our bank account before we fired them to prevent any further hemorrhaging of our money. Even after we gave them written (email) and verbal notice (phone call) to cease all work on our case, they still continued to "work" and bill us. I don't know how they are still in business with all the bad reviews saying basically the same thing, but for whatever reason people are still reaching out to them. Best of luck to you the reader and your case or situation that you are in that requires an attorney and thanks for reading my review.

My experience with this office has been nothing but positive. I started my divorce journey 2.5 years ago, and finding them was an answer to prayer. My lawyer throughout the process has been confident and honest. I appreciated that she did not sugarcoat what the outcome could be but gave me realistic expectations every step of the way.

Well the attorney was good, she was prompt and did all she could until the case was closed. The rest of the firm such as billing not so much. They bill for every little thing they can and then after closing the case they just keep right on billing you. I called and they were all apologetic about it and told me all about how they would get it corrected immediately. Well after a month they decided that refunding was not a good idea, they should bill me again for another month "even though the case is closed". I called again and again I'm so sorry this should not have happened we will get right on this and get it corrected. Well nothing happened and a week later try to contact the billing department on 5 different numbers and no one can answer my call at this time. I would not recommend this firm, the attorney seemed to be very good but the finance department is very lacking.
