Based on publicly available information and client reviews, Mazelis & Werthamer appears to provide legal services in various civil areas. While a comprehensive list of all their practice areas is not explicitly detailed, the firm's work seems to include:
- Family Law: One notable area mentioned in client feedback is divorce and custody cases. This suggests that the firm assists individuals navigating the legal complexities of marital dissolution, including issues related to child custody, visitation rights, and potentially property division and spousal support.
- Personal Injury / Auto Accidents: Public listings associate Mazelis & Werthamer with auto accidents, indicating their involvement in representing individuals who have sustained injuries in vehicle collisions. While specific details about their personal injury practice are not extensive, it is a commonly listed area for the firm.
- General Civil Litigation: As a law firm, it is likely they handle other forms of general civil litigation, which involves resolving disputes between individuals or organizations through the court system, or through negotiation and settlement. This broad category can encompass a wide range of legal conflicts that do not fall under criminal law.
It's important for prospective clients to have a direct consultation with the firm to confirm their exact legal needs align with the specific expertise of the attorneys at Mazelis & Werthamer.
Based on available information and client insights, certain features and highlights emerge regarding Mazelis & Werthamer:

This focus suggests a capacity to handle sensitive and challenging cases within these fields.
However, it is crucial to consider all publicly available feedback to form a balanced view. While one client lauded Ronnie Werthamer, another review expressed significant dissatisfaction, citing issues with communication, representation, and a sense of being abandoned before a court date. This mixed feedback emphasizes the importance of thorough due diligence and clear communication regarding expectations and responsibilities when engaging legal counsel. The firm's ability to maintain a physical presence and continue operations in a competitive legal market suggests some level of ongoing client engagement.
Like many legal practices, Mazelis & Werthamer does not typically advertise "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Law firm services are based on professional legal counsel and representation. For areas like personal injury, it is common practice for attorneys to work on a contingency fee basis. This means clients do not pay upfront legal fees, and the attorney's payment is a percentage of the compensation recovered, if the case is successful. This arrangement can be a significant benefit for individuals who may not have the immediate funds to pursue a lawsuit. However, for other practice areas like family law or general civil litigation, hourly fees or retainers are more common. Prospective clients should inquire directly with Mazelis & Werthamer about their fee structure during an initial consultation to understand the costs associated with their specific legal needs.

I wish there were negative stars to give, because I would give them all the negative stars there are. I would NEVER recommend this practice, ever! Many years ago, I hired this practice for my divorce/custody. I spent hours copying receipts that I was told to copy that I could get reimbursed for, there were hundreds of them, only to be told, there was nothing they could do about it. Then the night before I was supposed to go to court, I get a phone call saying they can’t be there because they have 2 more court cases at the exact same time. Like they didn’t know this ahead of time! I was told to come and meet the attorney to pick up my papers at 9 PM the night before court!. I told him I don’t know how to represent myself. I was told just be yourself. Wow, really? I was a wreck the next morning for court. Fortunately, the judge noticed I didn’t have council, and I explained that they bolted at the last second. I was told by the bailiff in the courtroom during a break, that I looked very professional, and that my ex to be was lying through his teeth, and everybody could see it. Fortunately, I ended up winning, but with no help from this practice! I had paid in full and was never even offered or given any of my money back, but should have been, because they didn’t uphold their end of the deal. Had I thought about it then, I would have turned them in to the bar association. Then I would’ve gotten my money back for sure, And they would have been held accountable for their actions! Don’t waste your time or money on this practice! You will be highly disappointed.
I've used their service for over 45 years now and have been extremely satisfied with the results of the cassess that they handled.
I have been waiting for almost a year for a response they dont update or inform you of your case they drag their feet and prolong thing I would never reco them to anyone
I've always loved the professionalism that the office showed at all times in the experience from both attorneys is immeasurable
