Law firms, particularly those engaged in high-impact public interest litigation, typically do not offer "promotions" in the commercial sense. However, Mehri & Skalet, PLLC provides key benefits that serve as access points for potential clients, reflecting their commitment to justice:
- Free, Confidential Consultation: Mehri & Skalet encourages potential clients to reach out for a confidential and often free conversation. This initial consultation allows individuals to discuss their case with an attorney, understand potential legal avenues, and determine if the firm is the right fit, without any upfront financial commitment. This is a standard and valuable practice in the legal profession, especially for complex cases.
- Contingency Fee Arrangements (for certain cases): While not explicitly stated for all services, many firms specializing in plaintiff-side civil rights, employment, and whistleblower cases often work on a contingency fee basis. This means attorney fees are only collected if the client wins their case or achieves a settlement. This model significantly reduces the financial barrier for individuals seeking justice against well-resourced opponents. Prospective clients should confirm fee arrangements directly with the firm for their specific type of case.
- Informational Resources: The firm's website serves as a valuable resource, providing detailed information about their practice areas, past cases, and insights into various legal issues. While not a direct "offer," this public information empowers potential clients with knowledge before engaging legal services.
These approaches demonstrate Mehri & Skalet's commitment to making legal representation accessible to those who need to fight for their rights against powerful entities.

I reached out to FindJustice.com (Ellen Eardley & Khalid Mohieldin) regarding my Title VII employment retaliation lawsuit in federal court (EDVA) after receiving a rare EEOC determination in my favor. Despite this, their firm declined to take my case without providing any explanation. While it is understandable that not every firm can take on every case, a firm that claims to "Find Justice" should at least provide transparency and professionalism in their decision-making process. Instead, I received a generic declination letter with no insight or referral to another attorney. If you are a potential client seeking serious employment litigation representation, be aware that this firm may decline your case arbitrarily. A firm that markets itself as an advocate for workers should be more upfront with potential clients rather than dismissing them with a vague, copy-paste response. ⚠ I do NOT recommend this firm if you need committed legal representation. There are far more responsive and transparent employment law firms available.
