The outcome of your case can significantly impact your future, making the choice of attorney a critical one. For residents in the Reno area, understanding the options available and what to expect from a legal firm is paramount. Neahusan Law, led by attorney Sean Neahusan, is one such firm that has served clients in various legal matters, particularly within the realm of criminal defense.
The experience of working with a legal professional can vary greatly, and it's essential for potential clients to gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. Neahusan Law has a track record that includes both highly positive outcomes and some challenging experiences reported by clients. One client expressed immense gratitude for a case dismissal and charges dropped, highlighting Sean Neahusan's direct communication style and effectiveness in achieving a favorable result. This client emphasized the value of legal representation in securing freedom and acknowledged that a lawyer's time is divided among multiple cases. However, another client reported significant dissatisfaction, citing issues with communication, missed court notifications, and a lack of defense effort. These contrasting experiences underscore the importance of thorough research and clear expectations when engaging legal counsel. For those in Reno seeking legal assistance, it is advisable to delve into all available information to determine if Neahusan Law aligns with their specific needs and expectations for attorney-client interaction and case management.

Legal Representation in Court: The nature of the cases discussed implies that the firm provides representation in court proceedings, fighting for clients' rights and advocating on their behalf before a judge.

It is important for prospective clients to directly confirm the specific types of criminal cases and other legal services that Neahusan Law currently handles, as legal practices can specialize or change focus over time.
The provided reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the features and highlights of Neahusan Law:

However, it is crucial to also note the concerns raised in another review:
Communication Issues: A client reported significant issues with "refused to return phone calls and emails for 3 months" and not being notified of a "changed a court date."
Lack of Knowledge Allegation: One review claimed the "judge had to explain to him how to file the correct paperwork" and that the lawyer "demonstrated lack of knowledge."
Abrupt Practice Closure Allegation: A client stated the lawyer "literally closed his doors (to start another practice) on me and I'm assuming other clients as well."
Formal Complaint Filed: A complaint was reportedly filed with the "NV Bar," indicating a serious concern about the services received.

CHOOSE SEAN NEAHUSAN TO REPRESENT YOU These 5 stars are an honest. I cannot speak for the other reviews, but yes I was charged $1,000 for my case. In my opinion there’s no price on freedom especially if that charge will cost you more than a lawyer fee. As for the communication; I did receive feedback from Mr. Neahusan, but what I think people have a hard time understanding is that, you’re not his only case and he does have a personal life. Yes you are client, you will be treated as such but keep in mind of your own attitude for someone fighting for your rights which you lack knowledge of. Sean was upfront and did not sugar coat. We communicated on what is necessary and got my case dismissed and charges dropped! I was recommended to his office by Joey Gilbert Law, so keep that mind as well. He is a busy man. Have respect and although, I know, personally, it is stressful be patient and respectfully continue to reach out. If he says you’re good then you’re good! Thank you Sean Neahusan, A forever grateful man
DO NOT hire this lawyer. The judge had to explain to him how to file the correct paperwork. He refused to return phone calls and emails for 3 months and even changed a court date and did not notify me. I found out while I was checking in to court that day. He literally closed his doors (to start another practice ) on me and I'm assuming other clients as well because his secretary said she was fed up with it. I did file a complaint with the NV Bar and I'm awaiting the outcome. I made a mistake by paying him $ 7500 in full from the start. He demonstrated lack of knowledge and communication and did not even attempt to defend me at all.
UPDATE: Sean I wasn't being passive-aggressive, yet what you had read was a wife under tremendous distress. It had did taken some stresses off by you showing up for my husband, the family was please in the work you had provided him. We are not out of the woods yet Sir, but you re-insured the confidence that you will do well. * I can't remove the previous rating, but I will say you come through for us. Thank you Sean! _______________________________________________________________ We felt the advising Attorney Sean Neahusan was going to go to bat for my Husband's legal matter, however this Attorney was negligent in connecting resources provided that would win our case. We are experiencing that this Attorney never communicates with you when he's out the office for long periods of time, especially close to our trail date! 😠 This feels as abandonment to me, while my Husband needs him mostly. When your freedom is on the line Sean transparency is vital especially if you have decided suddenly not to fight for your client - to the end not providing enough time to seek better council! Leaving your clients to feeling railroaded for a plea that should have been dismissed at the beginning is horrible from you. 😢 We believed in you! 👉 After experience: Make sure you have a back up plan incase you choose this Law Firm!
I left a voicemail and filled out the contact form on the website. I haven't heard back and it's been two weeks! My son is a client of theirs and he hasn't heard from them either and he reached out more than a month ago. UPDATE: within a day or two of posting my review, a few months back, I heard from Sean. He mentioned my review when we spoke which confirmed my suspicions that I was only hearing back because of my poor review. He stated he thought he had spoken to my son recently, however, my son had not heard back from him after several contact attempts. Nonetheless, the case was resolved and is over with in Reno, NV. My son is back home! When you NEED a lawyer, you need one that is going to communicate with you and work for you, helping you... I'm not so sure this is the right place to go if you want to be in communication with your lawyer.
Mr. Neahusan has the wonderful ability to calm down a freaked out woman (me). When I saw him and explained my situation, he told me there was no way my opponent could win, that I was doing everything right, and had no worries. He filed a response with the court and I heard nothing more about it. Besides being a nice man, he's an honorable man, and a good lawyer. I'm very pleased to recommend him.
