Abogada Mendoza and her team have been wonderful. Everyone is so kind and professional. They have been very easy to work with and have staff available to answer any questions I have in my preferred language. They really do care for people and I cannot say enough great things about them. Highly recommend them! :)
I hired this lawfirm after a lot of good recommendations from friends and family. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. I needed a renewal of a work permit (4-6 week turnaround max). After 2 months of not hearing back, i called EVERY WEEK to check on the status and every time they said it was getting reviewed. This went on for 7 MONTHS! No one would call me back and when i called they would just tell me they would let whoever was in charge of my case know, but that was it. No call. No email. What i did get every now and the was someone calling to verify the same basic information over and over. Along with them asking me to re send pictures of my ID and social. (Which makes me think that my file/case was lost multiple times) As of the status of the process? Nothing. I finally gave up and went with another lawyer locally and withing 3 weeks, had my documents in hand. When i called to get my money back, they were very courteous and said it would be 7-10 days, but didn't Apologize for the HUGE oversight, as if it was something normalfor people to call up and ask for a refund. Maybe it was just my luck, but I wouldn't want anyone to go through all of this.
Had a case with them for about a year. Case was never moved due to myself and personal issues. Finally when I try to get things going, they were not there to help. They say they have English speaking agents but that is not true. They run the place like a call center which takes the honesty and personal touch that most immigration lawyers will have. I never even got to Maria Mendoza, yet every other immigration law firm will have you speak to the lawyer at first, not this place though. Major red flags. Update: This law firm keeps pretty much harassing me about a check they sent to me. This money according to them is a refund for my case that never gained any traction. They also wanted me to change my review. At this point I won't do anything for them. Pretty much every business in America has the ability to see and check with their financial institution to see if a recipient cashed their check. I would know this because I worked in Medicare and my sister is an actual banker. Not a Teller but an actual banker. I would suggest you guys read this: "The new law regarding fake reviews, finalized by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on August 14, 2024, prohibits businesses from creating, selling, or purchasing fake consumer reviews, testimonials, or celebrity endorsements, including those generated by AI, and requires companies to clearly disclose any insider relationships when posting reviews; essentially banning the practice of manipulating online reviews to deceive consumers." Take that as you will. *UPDATE* The last time I had updated my review, they sent me a very petty email informing me that they have cancelled my services. Which is funny because I am the one who canceled/fired them. This was about 6 plus months ago. The reviews on here are more than likley fake or pushed on to their clients. I would STRONGLY suggest you do not contact them. If you are looking to hire an immigration lawyer, PLEASE stick to someone local. Your initial consultation should consist of an in person appointment or video conference where you actually talk and see the lead attorney.
**UPDATE** We got a refund, after leaving the review someone called us back and said that the refund would take anywhere from 3-5 days but if I wanted it sooner to delete the review. NOT HAPPENING !! Once I said that I’m not deleting it they got upset and offered a free consultation with Maria Mendoza, but guess what happened ? NOTHING ! My husband and I refused to talk to anyone else that wasn’t her but that call never happened , which I didn’t expect for it to happen given the reputation they’ve given themselves ! So once again NOT TO BE TRUSTED ! They will harass you by calling over and over again ! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE SCAMMERS !! We’re not the only ones that have had this happen ! ** !!! STAY AWAY !!! Horrible, if I could give them 0 stars I would. They just want your money!! We were supposed to get a free evaluation of our case then speak to a lawyer about how to go forward. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! They charged us for the consultation upfront, we got a call Tuesday morning at 8:13a.m. When our appointment was set for 8a.m. Sharp! Not only were they 13 minutes late but they keep pushing visas when we know my husband doesn’t qualify for any!! All they wanna talk about is visas!! We were scheduled for an appointment today at 1p.m. And guess what? IT NEVER HAPPENED! We waited and waited as soon as we saw that an HOUR WENT BY WITH NO CALL we called their office. WE WANT A REFUND!! All they could say was someone will get back to us!! We can never get a hold of anyone that will actually help us. They all sound like robots just repeating the same thing over and over! WE WASTED AN HOUR WAITING FOR A PHONE CALL THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Horrible not to be trusted! I hope someone gives us a call to handle the refund for such a fraud experience! Never recommending this immigration lawyer to anyone!!! STAY AWAY!!!
Scammed. We were never contacted by the Abogada directly and gave them money for what? conversations with the assistants who aren't even listed on their webpage. ALSO, their firm is closed on Sundays but they only insist to communicate/call ON SUNDAYS? Do not work with this firm. They also make up excuses to not share their faces? Little weird huh. They also specifically told us that they would cancel another meeting with a client just for us. Rude? Yeah but because they want to pursue those who have money. Very suspicious huh. It's embarrassing to spread misinformation and false hope. Do better and spread the word because we sure will.
