Hired WTL after my husband got into some trouble. We felt really good about Mustafa after the consultation over the phone. He seemed genuine, didn't overpromise, but assured us he would do his best. Unfortunately, once we signed the retainer, we were completely left in the dark. Mustafa dodged all of our calls, texts, emails. We never knew when the next court date would be...we had to create an account to log in ourselves to check court dates for ontario. No one even reviewed the disclosure with us. We feel like we were tricked into hiring this law firm. We had a payment plan and we were assured that they would notify us if they were taking the remaining balance to resolve the case, and instead charged 4 months of payments at one time, not even knowing if the funds were available. We got in contact with accounts payable before any other lawyer. We spoke with 4 different lawyers...the day of the plea hearing there was yet another lawyer who was randomly assigned to join court. He called my husband 15 min before court to ask about his case and get to know him so he was prepared. Felt like a big joke. Never spoke with Mustafa after the consultation. The resolution was not what we wanted and we wish we looked around before hiring them. My husband could have probably just represented himself to get the same outcome. Feels like a waste of time and money. Please do your research before hiring this firm. I'm not sure how, many of these reviews are fake, but it seems we didn't get the same treatment as these people who gave 5 star reviews.
I have to admit that I was nervous after paying the retainer, i then saw multiple 1* reviews. Having said that, i am, without hesitation, rating What-the-law a deserved 5*s. Mr. Sheikh, kudos on your choice of associatesa, as the lawyer assigned to my case, Mr. Christian Abosh, not only got my charges withdrawn, he did so expeditiously. Ir is vwry easy for law firms to milk a defendant for as much time and continuances as possible. From serious felony charges being laid end of January to being withdrawn mid May is a testament to borh diligent work and honourable billlng. Thank you once again, Mr. Abosh. The only criticism i will include, and is reflected in a few negative reviews , is a lack of communucation of updates. U I pondered this seemingy contradictory service standard and concluded that the high case loads and needing to focus on the cases and court arguments there is little time for phone or personal meetings. Truth be told, i would rather save possibly a few 1000 and let the legal fees go towards legal work not social work.. it does cause some client distress, but the outcome alleviated that distress quick enough for me.
Very affordable payment plan structure. Always helped guide me every step of the way. Mr. Sheikh got my chargers dropped. Was able to get the best care and best service by Saini and mustafa. Updates were pretty frequent however the time and effort that they took was well worth the results. Handle both federal and provincial charges and were able to get them withdrawn by finding minor details in the disclosure and search warrant. Very detail oriented and organized. It did take some time, but it was the results that ended up speaking volumes. Was able to get the best care and best service by Saini and Mustafa.
