I came to Mr. Famiglietti with real hope—both for his legal expertise and because, as someone who is also disabled, I believed he would understand the emotional and systemic challenges I’m facing. Unfortunately, the consultation left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. I was completely open with him—honest about where I could have done better and transparent about how I’d been wronged. This situation has been emotionally devastating and brought me to tears during our call. He cautioned me not to be “too emotional,” and when I tried to express the weight of what I’ve been carrying, he said: “I’m not a priest or a therapist.” He asked how much I make and told me, as a teacher, I couldn’t afford his services—without any real conversation about creative solutions. He told me flatly it would take 25 hours to go through 22 emails. I explained that my family was willing to support me financially if he believed in the strength of the case. That was ignored. Every cold statement was stamped with, “I just want to be honest.” I expected compassion and clarity. What I experienced was deflection, tone-policing, and transactional coldness. I’m sharing this for others seeking trauma-informed, disability-competent legal support. Be prepared—it may not be what you expect. That said—if you are an attorney who truly advocates for disabled clients, please feel free to contact me.
Matt is an extraordinary attorney. He helped my family with a very difficult disability case and did everything possible to be sure no stone was left unturned. He is extremely knowledgeable. He fought for us and never gave up even though it was a hard case from the beginning. He is the most compassionate and understanding attorney that truly understands how important your case is to you. Matt is the best of the best and I highly recommend him and his team. We are forever grateful for all his hard work, more importantly, very thankful to have had the opportunity for him to be our attorney. Thank you Matt for always believing and never giving up!
I am forever grateful to Attorney Famiglietti. He supported me through one of the most challenging periods of my time. He was extremely responsive and caring. I trust him with my life and highly recommend him for legal services. It is hard to find good people in the world and Attorney Famiglietti is the best of the best!
I would definitely recommend Mr Matthew Famigliette to anyone needing a lawyer. After being denied My Benefits from Social Security Administration. I was able to obtain Mr Matthew Famigliette to represent me and file for Disability Benefits on my behalf. I can't begin to say enough great things in regards just how very professional and thorough MR Famigliette does displays when representing his clients. I was always comforted with kind and encouraging words as well as reassured that my case was being given the time and energy to getting a resolution on my behalf. There were never a time that I wasn't made aware of what communication was being made with the VA Hospital or Social Security Administration whether it was by email or telephone call. I'll always be Eternally Grateful that because Mr Famigliette fought for my rights, I'm able to recieve Benefits from the Social Security Administration. Thankful and Always Appreciative. John Wright
