Introduce
When considering important life decisions like estate planning, including the creation of wills and trusts, choosing a law firm that aligns with your specific needs and provides professional, respectful service is paramount. In El Paso, Texas, The Goldfarb Law Firm offers legal services in these areas. This article will provide an overview of The Goldfarb Law Firm, detailing its location, the services it offers, and important insights from client experiences, to help residents of the Texas region make informed decisions about their legal representation.
The Goldfarb Law Firm focuses on assisting clients with estate planning and related legal matters. Client experiences with the firm appear to be varied, highlighting the importance of clear communication and setting expectations from the outset. One client, who had a positive experience, stated, "We did our wills and trusts with them. What a fabulous bunch of people. They are so nice, very helpful and welcoming. I don't think I could have found better group to help us and work with." This feedback suggests that for certain services, clients have found the firm to be supportive and effective.
However, another review details a significantly different experience, particularly concerning inquiries about Medicaid trusts. This client reported, "I called these arrogant jerks at there Las Cruces, NM office to see about setting up a trust for my mother in-law who had massive stroke and is in a nursing home. Unfortunately we aren’t wealthy enough for this Law Firm. Because she is on medicaid due to her financial situation at the time of her stroke and lack of planning prior. The man Aaron Goldfarb who answered my call was very rude and nastily quoted 'they don’t handle MEDICAID TRUSTS'. When I nicely asked if he even knew of another attorney in town who did, he again nastily rude quoted 'NO I DON’T' at this time I would have loved to rip him through the phone for being such a jerk. However, I kept my composure because of who I am and what kind of man I am. I again asked nicely, how would I find that information. Nastily again the rude jerk quoted 'CALL THE STATE BAR ASSOCIATION'. The rude jerk then hung up on me. If this is the kind of people you want to do business with, by all means please do. But, after such treatment, personally I could or would never trust this firm with any legal matters. It’s seams as if all they care about is money and not the client. I would even pull my business from here upon hearing this kind of thing from another. No body deserves to be treated this way, especially a perspective client."
This contrasting feedback underscores the critical need for prospective clients in El Paso to have very clear discussions with the firm about their specific legal needs, particularly regarding the types of trusts and estate planning services they offer and do not offer. It also highlights the importance of assessing the firm's communication style and client service approach during initial interactions. Understanding upfront whether a firm handles a specific niche, such as Medicaid trusts, and how they handle referrals for services they do not provide, can prevent misunderstandings and dissatisfaction. Ultimately, choosing a law firm that demonstrates both professional competence and consistent respect for all potential clients, regardless of the nature or scope of their inquiry, is essential for a positive legal experience.
The Goldfarb Law Firm is located at 309 E Robinson Ave, El Paso, TX 79902, USA. This address places the firm in a central and established part of El Paso, making it generally accessible for clients throughout the city and surrounding areas of West Texas. East Robinson Avenue is part of a network of roads that should allow for relatively straightforward navigation to the office, whether clients are traveling by private vehicle or potentially via local public transportation routes. For those driving, the availability of parking at or near the office location would be a practical convenience for clients attending appointments. The firm's physical presence in El Paso signifies its dedication to serving the local community directly. Being based locally can facilitate more convenient in-person consultations, fostering direct communication and a personal connection between attorney and client, which is often preferred for sensitive legal matters like estate planning. Furthermore, a local office means The Goldfarb Law Firm is likely familiar with the specific procedures of El Paso courts and the nuances of the regional legal landscape in Texas, which can be an advantage when navigating local legal processes.
The Goldfarb Law Firm specializes in legal services primarily related to estate planning, aiming to help individuals secure their financial future and that of their loved ones. Based on public information and client feedback, their core offerings focus on proactive legal planning. The services generally offered by The Goldfarb Law Firm include:
- Wills: Assisting clients in drafting legally sound wills to ensure their assets are distributed according to their wishes after their passing. This is a foundational element of any estate plan.
- Trusts: Guiding clients through the establishment of various types of trusts. Trusts can be powerful tools for asset management, protecting inheritances, minimizing probate, and potentially reducing estate taxes. While specific types of trusts handled are not always exhaustively listed publicly, their expertise would generally encompass:
- Revocable Living Trusts: Flexible trusts that can be changed or revoked during the grantor's lifetime.
- Irrevocable Trusts: Trusts that generally cannot be altered once created, often used for asset protection and tax planning.
- Special Needs Trusts: Designed to provide for individuals with disabilities without jeopardizing their eligibility for government benefits.
- Estate Planning: Providing comprehensive advice and document preparation for a complete estate plan. This typically includes more than just wills and trusts, also encompassing:
- Powers of Attorney: Designating individuals to make financial decisions on your behalf if you become incapacitated.
- Medical Directives / Living Wills: Outlining your healthcare wishes and designating a healthcare proxy.
- Guardianships: Planning for the guardianship of minor children or incapacitated adults.
It is crucial for prospective clients to note, as indicated by a client review, that the firm specifically states they "don't handle MEDICAID TRUSTS." Therefore, if your estate planning needs involve strategies for qualifying for Medicaid or protecting assets while on Medicaid, it would be essential to confirm with the firm directly whether they can assist or refer you to an appropriate specialist. For all other estate planning needs, direct communication with the firm is recommended to confirm their full suite of services and how they align with your specific objectives.
The Goldfarb Law Firm presents several features and highlights that are important for potential clients in El Paso, Texas, to consider:

This specialization means they are likely deeply knowledgeable about Texas estate laws and the nuances of creating comprehensive plans for asset distribution and protection.
- Positive Client Feedback for Core Services: As one client review indicates, "We did our wills and trusts with them. What a fabulous bunch of people. They are so nice, very helpful and welcoming. I don't think I could have found better group to help us and work with." This suggests that for those seeking their core estate planning services, the firm can provide a positive and supportive experience.
- Local El Paso Presence: Being located in El Paso allows the firm to serve the local community directly. This accessibility can facilitate convenient in-person consultations and a better understanding of local client needs and regional legal specificities in Texas.
- Important Service Limitation Noted: A key highlight (or limitation) gleaned from client feedback is that the firm explicitly states they "don’t handle MEDICAID TRUSTS." This is a crucial piece of information for prospective clients whose estate planning needs may involve Medicaid eligibility or asset protection in the context of long-term care planning. This upfront clarification, while potentially delivered unpleasantly to one client, is valuable for managing expectations.
Potential clients should weigh these features, especially the stated limitation regarding Medicaid trusts, and consider direct communication to ensure the firm's services and client interaction style align with their expectations before engaging their services.

I am a retired trial lawyer and trial court judge. I say that because at one point during my legal career I think I knew just about every attorney in El Paso, either directly or one step removed. My wife and I chose the Goldfarbs to handle our estate planning because, simply put, they are among the very best estate planning lawyers in El Paso, if not THE best. They did a great job on our wills and family trust and to say that we were pleased with the final product would be an understatement.
Saved my bacon on several contracts. Very professional
Very helpful
